Easyshade is installed within the insulating glass of the window. That protects it from soiling and provides better solar protection than internally applied systems. By contrast with externally fitted systems, Easyshade is not exposed to weathering and does not have any structural prerequisites. Following several days of persistent extremely low external temperatures, physics-based pressure changes in the inter-pane gap could cause temporary malfunctions when raising and lowering the blinds. Do not apply force in such cases as the system will revert to normal as soon as the outside temperature increases.

The folded curtain can be moved manually on the surface of the glass with the aid of a magnetic moving device and remains in the desired position. In the "operable from above" and "operable from below" design variants Easyshade basic provides increased solar protection when the sun is high in the sky or increased privacy protection in the lower area.
