THE CHRISTOPHORUS HOUSE


THE CHRISTOPHORUS HOUSE IS ONE OF THE MOST INNOVATIVE PASSIVE HOUSES IN EUROPE AND SERVES AS A SHOWPIECE PROJECT IN THE AREA OF CLIMATE PROTECTION.

The Christophorus House, as an ecological model project, is intended to motivate many people, in this country and abroad, to handle resources responsibly.



For this very reason the Christophorus House is an international focal point attracting over a thousand visitors interested in passive houses annually.




THE RESULTS OF THE PROJECT:
  • Only 122,000 kW/h per annum is required for a total useful area of 2,551 m2.
  • The heating requirement is only 4,000 kW/h per annum.
  • Pollutants reduced to 0.
  • 50 % saving in drinking water due to innovative water system.
  • The cost for a passive house area of approximately 1,600 m2 is only € 490.-
